Google Visibility for Beauty Salons

When someone looks for a salon near them, you want them to find you, trust what they see, and choose you. We improve how your salon appears on Google Maps, Google Search, your website and AI search, while you focus on your clients.

Where Clients Look for a Salon

When someone needs a new salon, the search usually starts on a phone. We measured what that looks like in Phoenix, for hair salons.

The map comes first.

For a "near me" search for hair salons, Google's map of local businesses was the first result on the page, and Google showed no AI overview.

Many profiles have few reviews.

In our Phoenix sample of hair salons, 40% had fewer than 25 Google reviews. The typical one had a 4.8 rating and 34.5 reviews.

Some profiles were never claimed.

In the same sample, 10% of the hair salons were rated below 4.0 stars, and 14% had never claimed their Google profile.

AI assistants already name salons.

When we asked ChatGPT who the best hair salon in Phoenix is, the answer named at least four businesses and drew on 13 sources, two of them business directories.

Based on the first 100 hair salons within 15 km of central Phoenix (633 in that area); one "near me" search on a phone, one day; one ChatGPT question, one answer. Measured October 11, 2026. This is not all of Arizona. Hair salons only; nail, skin care and barber shops were not measured.

Where a Salon Can Be Missed on Google

If any of these looks like your salon today, that is where our work starts.

Google profile

The map shows up before your website does, and your profile may not be on it.

For a "hair salon near me" search, Google's map of local businesses was the first thing on the screen. 14% of the hair salons we checked had never claimed their Google profile. We measured hair salons only.

What we do. Your profile is claimed, complete and kept current, so you are a choice on that map, not a name under it. (Local Visibility: Google profile setup and listing checks.)

Reviews

Fewer than 25 reviews, next to a profile with more.

In our sample of hair salons, 40% had fewer than 25 Google reviews; the typical one had 34.5. We measured hair salons only.

What we do. Every client gets asked for a review, the same way, every time, and every review gets a reply. We ask every client, not just the happy ones. (Local Visibility: review requests and replies.)

Website & AI search

AI assistants already name salons, and yours may not be one of them.

When we asked ChatGPT who the best hair salon in Phoenix is, the answer named at least four businesses. We asked about hair salons only.

What we do. We work on the website you already have and set up your AI search visibility, so your salon is one an assistant can find and describe. We do not promise a place in any AI answer. (Local Growth: website work and AI search setup; monitored in Local Authority.)

What We Do for Salons, in Four Places

Google Maps.

We complete and update your Google Business Profile, set up a way to ask every client for a review, and handle the replies. We ask every client, not just the happy ones.

Google Search.

We keep your salon's details consistent across the directories people use, and track where you show up locally.

Your website.

From Local Growth, we work on the website you already have: its pages, how it turns visitors into contacts, and what Google can read on it.

AI search.

In Local Growth we set up your AI search visibility. In Local Authority we monitor it. We do not promise a place in any AI answer.

Questions Salon Owners Ask Us

Do you work with hair salons and beauty salons?

Yes. We work on how salons show up on Google, and the same three plans and prices apply to every kind of business.

How much does it cost?

Local Visibility is $377 a month, Local Growth $577 and Local Authority $877, plus a one-time $500 setup, charged once at the start. Every item in each plan is written down on the pricing page.

How long do I have to stay?

Plans start with a 90-day minimum. After that, you can cancel with 30 days' notice.

Will you put my salon at the top of Google, and how will I know it's working?

No, and nobody honest can promise that. We don't guarantee rankings or call counts. At 90 days we review your Google visibility, reviews, website activity and completed optimization work with you, so you can see what has changed. Between those reviews, you get a monthly visibility review, and we handle replies to your Google reviews.

What do you do about my Google reviews?

We set up a way to ask every client for a review, such as a QR code, SMS and email, and we handle replies to the reviews you get. We don't write reviews for you, and we ask every client, not just the happy ones.

Do I need a new website?

Not to start. Work on the website you already have is part of Local Growth. A new website is a separate offer: see New Websites.
